Affiliate links are a great way to make money for your website and they're a good way to serve your fan's needs. In this episode I talk to Christen Evans, who is an affiliate guru and brand manager for Apogee Agency.
She's an affiliate brand manager for some great brands, and she knows more about affiliate marketing than pretty much anyone I've ever met. Christen knows the best ways to use, share and effectively disclose that you use affiliate links.
Christen Evans joined Apogee in early 2017 in the role of Influencer Manager. The following year, she was promoted to Affiliate Manager, with clients put directly under her care.
As Influencer Manager, Christen helped affiliate recruiting efforts and worked on building relationships with influencers. She spearheaded the monthly newsletters to affiliates in order to keep them apprised of merchant news. As a social media expert, she ensured Apogee has a strong presence on social media platforms. Many of these strategies apply to her work as an Affiliate Manager.
Christen got her start in affiliate marketing on the blogging side in 2013. She provides the comic relief for the Apogee team, largely in .GIF form.
