Sous Vide Shrimp Cocktail Recipe

This appetizer recipe from Heather Bilyeu with Fueling a Southern Soul couldn't be more simple. It's great to make ahead and pull out of your fridge 5 minutes before you're ready to serve. You can save time on the prep by purchasing your shrimp already peeled and deveined.

Sous Vide Shrimp Cocktail Recipe

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Cooks: 132°F (55.56°C) for 30 minutes
  • Serves: 8 - 10 as an appetizer

Ingredients for Sous Vide Shrimp Cocktail

  • For the Shrimp

  • 2 lbs peeled, deveined and tail-on shrimp
  • 2 TB Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 TB Lemon Juice
  • To Serve

  • Cocktail sauce and lemon wedges

Cooking Instructions for Sous Vide Shrimp Cocktail

For the Shrimp

Preheat a water bath to 132°F (55.56°C).

Place shrimp in a sous vide bag and toss with the Old Bay and lemon juice.

Vacuum seal or add to the water bath using the water displacement method and cook for 30 minutes.

Once cooked, remove from the bath and chill fully in an ice bath before moving the bag to your refrigerator.

To Serve

Prepare a large platter with bowls of cocktail sauce and lemon wedges

Remove the shrimp from the fridge and place on the platter. Serve.
