Anova Precision Cooker 900 Watt Release

One of the main areas the Anova Precision Cooker was lacking in our sous vide benchmark tests was the heating time. It was the slowest machine tested for several years. Anova has now addressed that by releasing a 900 watt version.

This new version helped reduce the startup times from 32 minutes to 28 minutes, putting it closer to the other inexpensive circulators. Though it still lags the Gourmia Pod and ChefSteps Joule by a good amount.

Even with the slower heating, we still recommend the Anova 900 watt, and it is one of our Top Picks. It is available on Amazon.com. For more information, you can read our detailed Anova Precision Cooker WiFi review.
