I recently tried out the Animato Whipped Cream Dispenser. The Animato whipping siphon is an inexpensive, high quality charger I really liked.

Note: I was given these siphons to test out for free and my contact at Animato is involved in the Amazing Food Made Easy community and has purchased several of my own products. That said, I'm always honest in my reviews but I want to be upfront with you!

What We Like About the Animato Whipping Siphon

The Animato whipping siphon is a sturdy, easy to use siphon. It is made entirely of metal, which adds to the durability and allows it to be heated in a water bath to keep sauces and foams hot. It also has metal tips and a metal charger holder which can help with the safety of the siphon.

The Animato is also inexpensive, usually costing around $35 to $40 and feels much more durable than most similarily priced siphons. It also comes with a nozzle cleaner and a container cleaner, which helps make cleanup easier.

It comes in both silver and in black, depending on your design preferences.

What We Don't Like About the Animato Whipping Siphon

There were only two negatives, neither of which were big. The tips felt a little wobbly, though they never came loose. And the Animato only comes in the pint size, not the quart (what is that best whipping siphon size).

Also, while the Animato felt durable, if you are a professional chef and looking for a siphon you'll be using hundreds of times a night for the next few years, you may still want to look into the iSi Gourmet Whipping Siphon.

Why We Recommend the Animato Whipping Siphon

All in all the Animato siphon should work great for most home cooks looking to get started using whipping siphons. It has all the features I look for in a good siphon, including the ability to heat it, and it is very inexpensive.
